I am just beginning to work on this series of portraits that will highlight the beauty of the contemporary Indigenous world.
I believe my art and my practice are a gift from the creator that I need to use to make this world a better place and one of my goals is to paint portraits of Indigenous peoples so that when the museums and art collections of the future are visited they will have more than a few paintings with indigenous peoples in the room.
If you would like to have your portrait painted for this series, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Indigenous Tattoo Portraits
This series of oil paintings highlights figures from historic and contemporary Indigenous tattooing.
This series of paintings is a reformulation of Nlaka'pamux face paintings, pictographs and iconography. These paintings are painted using red ochre and bone black, painted as prayers in the same way some of our face paintings and tattoos were.
In this gallery you will be able to check a selection of the traditional tattoos that I have had the honor of bringing to life using skin stitch and hand poke tattooing techniques. .
Highlights Indigenous people from all walks of life who have inspired and continue to inspire us today as Indigenous peoples.
Contains painted portraits of Indigenous friends, family, clients and colleagues using an expressive realism.
In this gallery features examples of the machine tattooing that I do while at Vertigo Tattoos in Salmon Arm BC or traveling to national and international tattoo festivals.
